Baby Steps – First Post on my Website

First Post on my New Website

A warm and wonderful welcome to my new Website. Here is my very first post. I hope you like it.

So what was I going to start with ?

Well here you go I’ve chosen three lovely little baby cards and matching tags. It seemed a good choice as the Stamp Set is called “A Little Wild” and I think thats how most of my crafty friends think of me.

So why a baby card ?  Well I am taking baby steps myself into this new brave world of Techy internet stuff! Yes, I know it’s not that big a deal for most of you but it was very scary for me and I have to thank my lovely pal Lisa for getting me started.

I do hope you will keep popping in to keep up with me over the next few months and years and see how I cope with the Techy Stuff and see my ideas and top tips etc gathered from a life time of crafting and teaching arts and crafts.

“A little wild”

Here’s my take on 3 lovely baby animals from the Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set ” A Little Wild “.

Here’s the baby elephant surrounded by a scalloped circle of Pink Pirouette cardstock.  I love the tiny stitched holes around the edge of the inner circle created using the Stitched Shapes Framelit Die and simply mounted on Whisper White. Such a shy little Elly.

Then here’s the lovely lion again using the Stitched Shapes Framelits but notice also the Pumpkin Pie Orange layer which I think looks a like his mane cut using the Layered Circles Framelits.

Last but not least, my favourite the little bear with his bumble bee friend.  All 3 cards were coloured using our wonderful dye based pens and given a softened pastel glow using a blender pen. The baby bear is layered on Pool Party cardstock.

Finally tags to match cut using the ” Little Loves ” Framelits and all with Bakers Twine ties in different matching colours ready to hang on that special present for the new baby.

Phew…. Wow….. I did it !!! My first post complete.

Thanks
