Let’s Share the Love

I’ve recently returned from a fabulous day out crafting in Milton Keynes. It’s a day especially for team members only and what a fun time we had. Part of the day included a swapping activity. We get together in small groups and exchange cards. There is a set theme or a design idea and we make cards for a selected group.

Featuring a range of Designer Series Papers.

I chose to be in the swap group who had to use Designer Series Papers as the base of their cards. The front of these cards really showcase some amazing Designer Papers. All the papers are lovely and from this years catalogues. All have a floral, leafy or animal theme as I knew I wanted to use the Wild About you text and animal inspired stamp set inside.

Styled with a feature clasp at the front

The front cover is fastened using a lovely interlocking clasp. Made using two of the stitched circle die and fixed to separate sides of the split card front in such a way as they inter connect on closure. Using dies ensure they fit perfectly inside one another. Each circle is unique due to the paper chosen and the different text used. Stampin ‘ Up! designer papers are colour co-ordinated to match the inks, making it easy to ink them in colours to co-ordinate with the papers chosen.

Wild About You

Inside the card I made a landscape picture using the Rhino with the tiny bird and the Kangaroo with the Koala in his pocket. They are such fun and go so well with the sentiment ” wild about you” I am after all “wild about” my team mates they are such a wonderful bunch. Many of them are a little wild too!

Each animal is coloured using the fab blender pens and then cut and layered to give a wonderful 3D picture. I stamped the leaves at the back several times without re-inking to give depth to the greenery. Can you spot the little frog watching from the branch on the right ?

A message for my hubby John ” We Make a Perfect Pair” and ” I’m Wild About You ! ” Happy Valentines Day.

I love this card so much I made one for my hubby too for Valentines day and included the “Together we make a great pair” sentiment on the front and “Wild about you” on the inside. I hope he doesn’t think I picture him as a horny old Rhino! Ha ha….. but really maybe that make me a tiny fantastically pretty bird! Well enough said!
